The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is inviting the public to review and comment on a revised section of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed basing of an F-35A Formal Training Unit at Kingsley Field Air National Guard Base.

This special 10-day review period, running from August 21 to August 31, 2026, is focused exclusively on Section 3.9: Cultural Resources.

Following consultation under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the determination for certain historic properties on base has been revised to "Adverse Effect." To ensure full transparency and compliance, the DAF is providing this additional opportunity for public involvement specifically on the updated analysis, findings, and mitigation measures within Section 3.9.

How to Review and Comment:

The public is encouraged to review the revised Cultural Resources section and provide written comments by August 31, 2026.
