Draft EIS Public Review Period

Public involvement is an integral part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. The public has an important role in providing input during this process to help NGB and DAF make informed decisions regarding the proposal.

The public scoping period occurred in the summer of 2024, which included a public meeting in June 2024. Comments received were reviewed and incorporated into the document as appropriate. The Draft EIS is available on the Documents page. The public comment period for the Draft EIS occurred from April 10, 2026 to May 11, 2026. Information on the public review and comment period is available on the Get Involved page.
